On 28th July 1954 this 275 Squadron helicopter was being flown on an air test in the general area of Linton on Ouse airfield where the unit was based and while hovering over the airfield it lost power. The aircraft sank and struck ground with port wheel first which caused it to tip over. Both crew flying in it were slightly injured.
