On 13th May 1954 this 66 Squadron aircraft was flying in the circuit of Linton on Ouse airfield prior to landing, when making the turn to get the aircraft lined up with the runway the engine failed. Being at low height the pilot raised the undercarriage and belly landed in a field near the windmill at Tollerton. Unfortunately while the pilot escaped injury the aircraft was badly damaged. Cat.5 damage was the damage assesment and it was written off.
