The aircraft is listed in No.60 Maintenance Unit's record book as being servicable at Linton on Ouse during October 1954. When it was deemed unservicable and how/why this occurred is not known. At the time this aircraft was on charge with 66 Squadron and was based at Linton on Ouse.
This Sabre was one of a dozen or so that 60 MU passed as servicable at Linton on Ouse during the Summer of 1954. Most, or perhaps all, were probably modification-related, rather than damaged aircraft that required work.
