The aircraft is listed in No.60 Maintenance Unit's record book as being passed as servicable by them at Leconfield in December 1954. At the time the aircraft was on charge with the Central Gunnery School and was based at Leconfield. What caused an damage assessment to be made and when this occurred are not known.
