Very little is yet known about this incident other than on 15th January 1954 this 1453 Flight aircraft stalled on the approach to land at Topcliffe airfield at night, struck some form of mound in the undershoot area which broke the undercarriage and it then crashed. A fire broke out and the aircraft was badly damaged.
