This aircraft had a Cat.4R damage assessment made against it on 24th September 1954. At the time it was on charge with 72 Squadron and was based at Church Fenton. The damage assessment was probably made at Church Fenton. What caused the damage assessment to be made is not known. The aircraft was transported to AVRO at Woodford for a repair in works three days later and was returned to 72 Squadron charge in March 1955 once servicable.
