This aircraft had a Cat.4R damage assessment made against it on 10th November 1954. At the time the aircraft was on charge with 72 Squadron and was based at Church Fenton. What caused the damage assessment to be made is not known. It was transported to Flight Refuelling Ltd at Tarrant Rushton for a repair in works. Once repaired it was returned to 72 Squadron in June 1955.
