This aircraft had a Cat.4R damage assessment made against it on 27th April 1954. At the time it was on charge with No.203 Advanced Flying School and was based at Driffield. What caused the damage assessment to be made is not known and it probably was made at Driffield where it was based. It was transported to AST Ltd at Hamble for a repair in works in May 1954.
