This aircraft had a Cat.3R damage assessment made against it on 7th April 1954. At the time it was on charge with No.207 Advanced Flying School and was based at Full Sutton. What caused the damage assessment to be made is not known and it probably was made at Full Sutton where it was based. By the end of May 1954 the damage had been reassessed and was upgraded to Re-Cat.4R. It was then transported to Avro Ltd at Woodford for a repair in works.
