This aircraft had a Cat.4R damage assessment made against it on 15th November 1954. At the time the aircraft was on charge with No.8 Flying Training School and was based at Driffield. What caused the damage assessment to be made is not known. The unit records spepfically state that there were no flying accidents during November 1954. In February 1955 it was transported to Flight Refuelling Ltd at Tarrant Rushton for a repair in works.
