A Cat.3R damage assessment was made against this aircraft on 21st February 1954. At the time it was on charge with 72 Squadron and was based at Church Fenton airfield. It was repaired on site and was noted by 60 MU being servicable in April 1954 with it returning to 72 Squadron charge the following month.
What caused the damage assessment to be made is not yet known.
