The aircraft is listed in No.60 Maintenance Unit's record book as being servicable at Leconfield during October 1954. What caused an earlier damage assessment to be made and when this occurred are not known. It was probably a Cat.2 damage assessment rather than anything higher. At the time this aircraft was on charge with the Central Gunnery School and was based at Leconfield.
