On 6th July 1954 the pilot of this No.8 Flying Training School aircraft attempted to abandon taking off from Driffield airfield but could not stop in the remaining space available so overshot and it was slightly damaged. Why he abandoned take off is not known. The incident is not mentioned in the unit record book.
