On 29th January 1954 this 203 Advanced Flying School aircraft sank on take off from Driffield airfield in a cross wind and struck the runway with possibly the engine nacelles rather than the retracting undercarriage legs. Minor damage was caused. The pilot probably managed to continue with the take off and landed the aircraft normally later. The damage was later repaired.
