On 15th July 1954 this Central Gunnery School aircraft was taxying at Leconfield airfield, while a turn was being made the tail wheel dropped into a hole just off the perimeter track. The tail wheel collapsed and the rear fuselage was slightly damaged. It was repaired on site by 60 MU and passed as servicable in September 1954.
