On an unknown date during February 1954 the staff pilot of this 228 Operational Conversion Unit aircraft suffered a problem with the undercarriage on the approach to land at Leeming airfield. He jettisoned the aircraft's droptanks as a precaution but went on to make a normal landing at Leeming. Where the droptanks fell is not known but was probably in the general area of Leeming airfield.
