This aircraft had a Cat.4R damage assessment made against it on 3rd November 1953. At the time the aircraft was on charge with the Central Gunnery School and was based at Leconfield. What caused the damage assessment to be made is not known. It was initially transported to 33 MU at Lyneham the end of the month for a repair in works to be made.
