The aircraft is listed in No.60 Maintenance Unit's record book as being made servicable on site during the month of January 1954. What caused the damage assessment to be made and when this occurred are not known. At the time this aircraft was on charge with No.242 Operational Conversion Unit and was based at Dishforth. Given the aircraft was listed as servicable in January 1954, the initial damage assessment was probably made in late-1953.
