On 28th November 1953 this No.215 Advanced Flying School aircraft suffered a bird strike on a flight which damaged the nose and starboard outer undercarriage door (of the aircraft). The pilot returned to Finningley airfield and landed normally. A Cat.2/FA damage assessment was made and it was repaired on site.
