Meteor T.7 WG937 damaged in the air, landed at Leconfield airfield.

On 17th September 1953 this Central Gunnery School aircraft suffered a turbine blade failure whilst in the air which then caused damage to the engine nacelle. Despite the damage to one engine the pilot went on to land normally at Leconfield. The No.60 Maintenance Unit record book lists all the aeroplanes that they were tasked with making servicable in 1953. For this aircraft it states that it was servicable during the month of October 1953 at Leconfield.
