On 13th November 1953 this Central Gunnery School aircraft stalled on the approach to land at Leconfield airfield. The aircraft lost height and hit the ground in the undershoot area causing what must have been fairly serious damage. It was initially assessed as having Cat.4R damage and it was sent by road to Gloster Aircraft Ltd for a repair in works. In June 1954 this damage assessment was upgraded to Re-Cat.5 and it was struck off charge.
