What caused the damage assessment to be made is not known. It was repaired on site by a team from No.60 MU. The No.60 Maintenance Unit record book lists all the aeroplanes that they were tasked with making servicable in 1953. For this aircraft it states that it was serviacble during the month of July 1953 at Linton on Ouse.
