Vampire FB.5 VZ150 damaged in the air, landed at Leconfield airfield.
On 16th July 1953 this Central Gunnery School aircraft was struck by debris thrown up during an air gunnery firing exercise. The pilot went on to make a normal landing at Leconfield airfield.
