On 23rd July 1953 this Central Gunnery School aircraft had being flown on an air gunnery exercise over the Skipsea area. It appears that on the approach to Leconfield airfield to land it was being flown low with the undercarriage deployed when the undercarriage hit the ground and was damaged.
