During the afternoon of Thursday, 13th February 1953 this 215 Advanced Flying School aircraft suffered both engines fail on a flight in the Doncaster area. The pilot was unable to make it back to Finningley airfield so attempted to make a forced landing. The aircraft hit trees before making a crash landing in a ploughed field between Cantley and Armthorpe.
