On 9th April 1953 Meteor WL413 was landing at Driffield airfield when it ran into the back of Meteor VT240 that was about to take off on the same runway. Both aircraft were 203 Advanced Flying School aircraft and ran along the ground locked together. VT240 was badly damaged and was written off.
