On 22nd September 1953 this No.207 Advanced Flying School aircraft undertook a Ground Countrolled Approach training exercise. Although based at Full Sutton there was no GCA controller there so the exercise was carried out at Linton on Ouse which did. While landing at Linton on Ouse the aircraft stalled just above runway and it then landed heavily. The undercarriage was damaged.

A Cat.4R damage assessment was made and it was dispatched to Gloster Aircraft Co. Ltd. for a repair in works the following month. The repair took a year at which point it was flown to Flight Refuelling Ltd. at Tarrant Rushton.
