On 18th February 1953 this 215 Advanced Flying School aircraft undershot a landing approach at Finningley airfield. The aircraft touched the ground in the undershoot area and while the pilot managed to get back into the air and reach the runway, the undercarriage then collapsed. A fire then developed and the aircraft was badly damaged.
