The No.60 Maintenance Unit record book lists all the aeroplanes that they were tasked with making servicable in 1953. For this aircraft it states that it was ready during the month of May 1953 at Dishforth. The damage assessment was probably made a few months earlier but when is unknown. It would have been on charge with No.242 Operational Conversion Unit and based at Dishforth. What caused the damage assessment to be made is not known.
