The No.60 Maintenance Unit record book lists all the aeroplanes that they were tasked with making servicable in 1953. For this aircraft it states that it was passed servicable during the month of April 1953 at Topcliffe. The assessment must have been made against it in either late 1952 or early 1953. At the time it would have been on charge with No.242 Operational Conversion Unit and based at Dishforth. What caused the damage assessment to be made is not known.
