The No.60 Maintenance Unit record book lists all the aeroplanes that they were tasked with making servicable in 1953. For this aircraft it states that it was ready during the month of December 1953 at Dishforth. It was presumably assessed as damaged there a few months prior to this. At the time it would have been on charge with No.242 Operational Conversion Unit and based at Dishforth. What caused the damage assessment to be made is not known.
