The No.60 Maintenance Unit record book lists all the aeroplanes that they were tasked with making servicable in 1953. For this aircraft it states that it was passed as servicable during the month of May 1953 at Dishforth. The aircraft would have had a damage assessment made against it on an unknown date in 1952 or early 1953. At the time it would have been on charge with No.242 Operational Training Unit and based at Dishforth. What caused the damage assessment to be made is not known.
