Lincoln B.2 RA722 damaged in the air, landed at Lindholme airfield.

On 4th August 1953 this Bomber Command Bombing School aircraft suffered minor damage to the fuselage when a fire broke out whilst in the air. The fire was put out and was probably caused by the No.1 Box VHF radio equipment. The pilot made a normal landing at Lindholme airfield where the unit was based.
