At 19.11hrs on 23rd July 1953 this Bomber Command Bombing School aircraft attempted a landing at Lindholme airfield but touched down too far along the runway. The pilot attempted to take off again to fly an overshoot but it struck a BABS vehicle resulting in Cat.3 damage to the aircraft. It was repaired on site by 60 MU and was servicable in September 1953.
