The aircraft is listed in No.60 Maintenance Unit's record book as being made servicable on site during the month of January 1954. What caused the damage assessment to be made and when this occurred are not known. At the time this aircraft was on charge with No.215 Advanced Flying School and was based at Finningley. Given that it was servicable in January 1954, it probably had the damage assessment made against it in late-1953.
