The No.60 Maintenance Unit record book lists all the aeroplanes that they were tasked with making servicable in 1953. For this aircraft it states that it was passed as servicable during the month of May 1953 at Rufforth.
The damage assessment must have been made in late 1952 or early 1953 but when this occurred is not known. At the time it would have been on charge with No.64 Group Communications Flight and based at Rufforth. What caused the damage assessment to be made is not known.
