The No.60 Maintenance Unit record book lists all the aeroplanes that they were tasked with making servicable in 1953. For this aircraft it states that it was assessed as servicable during the month of May 1953 and at Doncaster. The damage assessment was probably made a few months before this. At the time it would be been on charge with Home Command Communication Squadron and based at White Waltham. What caused the damage assessment to be made is not known.
