Unidentified Meteor NF.11 at Leeming airfield.

On an unknown date during May 1953 this unidentified 228 Operational Conversion Unit aircraft suffered the starboard engine catch fire on take off at Leeming airfield. The pilot managed to stop the aircraft and the fire was put out but damage to the nacelle, spar and engine occurred. The unit record book scribe made a poor job of detailing flying accidents during this period. I have yet to search through accident records at the RAF Museum for additional information.
