Unidentified Meteor NF.11 at Leeming airfield.

On an unknown date in March 1953 this unidentified 228 Operational Conversion Unit aircraft made the approach to land at Leeming airfield at too great speed and on landing the pilot could not stop on the runway. The aircraft ran off the end of the runway and a ventral tank was damaged. The unit record book scribe made a poor job of detailing flying accidents during this period. I have yet to search through accident records at the RAF Museum for additional information.
