Unidentified Meteor NF.11 damaged in the air, landed at Leeming airfield.

On 31st March 1953 this unidentified 228 Operational Conversion Unit aircraft hit a tree on the approach to land at Leeming airfield. The port wing and droptank were damaged but the pilot managed to remain in control. He flew an overshoot of the airfield and after flying another circuit landed normally. The unit record book scribe made a poor job of detailing flying accidents during this period. I have yet to search through accident records at the RAF Museum for additional information.
