Unidentified Meteor NF.11 at Leeming airfield.

On 24th February 1953 this unidentified 228 Operational Conversion Unit aircraft was taking off from Leeming airfield when a significant amount of the tread on the port main wheel came away. It struck and detached the port mudguard. The take off was successful and after flying the training exercise to use up fuel he made a belly landing back at Leeming airfield. The unit record book scribe made a poor job of detailing flying accidents during this period. I have yet to search through accident records at the RAF Museum for additional information.
