A Cat.4R damage assessment was made against this aircraft on 9th May 1952. At the time it was on charge with the Central Gunnery School and based at Leconfield. Whether the damage relates to a flying accident / incident or purely damage found during a routine inspection is not clear. More information is required. It was taken to 32 MU at St.Athan for repair a month later and was flown to 38 MU at Llandow once servicable in September 1952.
