A Cat.3R damage assessment was made against this aircraft on 2nd April 1952. At the time it was on charge with the Central Gunnery School and based at Leconfield. Whether the damage relates to a flying accident / incident or purely damage found during a routine inspection is not clear. More information is required. On 29th May 1952 the damage assessment was upgraded to Re.Cat.4R and it was sent to 32 MU at St.Athan for a repair in works with it being complete in December 1952.
