While making an approach to land at Leconfield airfield on 12th December 1952 the pilot of this Central Gunnery School aircraft was forced to take evasive action to avoid a vehicle that caused an obstruction. The aircraft stalled and touched down heavily in the undershoot area which damaged the undercarriage. The pilot managed to get airborne again and then made a belly landing on the airfield after flying a circuit.
