On 11th November 1952 this Central Gunnery School aircraft suffered a bird strike on take off from Leconfield airfield. The cockpit canopy sustained damage.
Pilot - F/O K A Williamson (probably F/O Keith Alec Williamson RAF (582252)).
This officer rose to the highest rank in the RAF, Marshal of the Royal Air Force. The internet yields a lot about his life and I will only be copying aspects of this should I attempt to write a basic biography.
