On 10th August 1952 this 19 Squadron aircraft overshot a landing at Church Fenton airfield and struck the boundary hedge.

This pilot was killed on 18th March 1953 flying 19 Squadron Meteor WK858 which crashed in Cambridgeshire. He is buried at Tadcaster Cemetery, Yorkshire.
