During the afternoon of Tuesday, 24th June 1952 this 215 Advanced Flying School undershot a landing at Finningley, it clipped the edge of a quarry that was on the border of the airfield, bounced across a road and came to rest on the airfield boundary. A fire destroyed the aircraft but the pilot appears to have escaped serious injury.
