On 30th December 1952 this aircraft had a Cat.3R damage assessment made against it at Driffield airfield and at the time it was a No.203 Advanced Flying School aircraft which was based there. The No.60 Maintenance Unit record book lists all the aeroplanes that they were tasking with making servicable. For this aircraft it states that it was ready during the month of March 1953 and they repaired it at Driffield. How it came to require a repair is not yet clear and this may not have been down to any flying related incident.
