On 12th December 1952 this 215 Advanced Flying School aircraft undershot the runway on landing at Finningley airfield and initially received a repairable Cat.3 damage assessment. In February 1953 60 M.U. were in the process of repairing this aircraft at Finningley when they upgraded the damage assessment to Re-Cat.4 and it would then have been taken by road for a repair in works.
