Meteor T.7 WG995 at Neasham airfield.

On 7th April 1952 this 205 Advanced Flying School aircraft undershot a landing at Neasham airfield by a hundred yards. It struck an electrical box, which caused damage to the aircraft, and it then ran off a grass part of the airfield and into a freshly plough part of the airfield which caused the aircraft to stop. Both occupants were uninjured but the aircraft received significant damage. The unit was based at Middleton St.George but had the use of Neasham airfield as a relief landing ground, this was the airfield previously known as Croft.
